Ethical Policy

LMG Jewellery and Personal Jewellery Service supports the Kimberley Process (www.kimberleyprocess.com) which is an International process to track and ensure diamonds are conflict-free. In July 2003, the United States passed a law adopting the Kimberley Process that requires all United States based diamond retailers to buy diamonds from manufacturers who have documentation warranting that the merchandise was obtained through legitimate channels. This has also been adopted by the European Union Today, the EU actively enforces the Kimberley Process requirements as diamonds enter European ports. For further information, please read the European Commission’s web page. (http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/fpi/what-we-do/kimberley_process_en.htm

Along with the global diamond industry, LMG Jewellery and Personal Jewellery have a zero-tolerance policy toward conflict diamonds. Through measures such as the Kimberley Process, which tracks diamonds from mine to market, the industry in partnership with the United Nations, governments, and non-governmental organisations, polices diamond exports to prevent the trade of illegal diamonds.

At LMG Jewellery and Personal Jewellery, we only purchase diamonds through the most respected suppliers who, like us, proudly adhere and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process. All of our diamonds are warrantied to be conflict-free. If one of our suppliers were ever found in violation of that process, we would immediately sever our relationship. LMG Jewellery and Personal Jewellery will continue to support and promote any process that works to uphold legitimacy in the diamond trade.

Apart from the Kimberly process LMG Jewellery and Personal Jewellery are proud that our own production goes one step further. Our own state of the art factory only uses gold that is conflict free adhering to the standards of the World Gold Council
